Health care, social involvement and well-being in rural areas are among the most important challenges the region of Münster is faced with. As drivers of innovation, the University of Applied Sciences (FH Münster) and the Institute for Society and Digital Studies (GUD) are dedicated to these challenges in research and application, developing sustainable solutions and implementing them directly.

One project I worked on was the Smart Mirror Project. Intelligent data mirrors or so-called “smart mirrors” were to be used as an innovative and effective medium to make health information accessible to people. Users literally had "a mirror held up to them" by the information superimposed on their own reflection. In this way, content on the topics of nutrition and food consumption could be easily understood, realistically assessed and then applied appropriately.

Animation on the topics of nutrition & food consumption for smart mirrors.
For selected interactions, visual feedback appeared in the form of informative and entertaining animations. We worked on these different types of visual feedback in a small team of illustrators and designers. As a motion designer, I created a series of illustrations and about 50 animations on the topics of nutrition and food consumption.

On top of that, I designed infographics and produced content for social media and for the newly launched website.

On this page you can see a selection of my animation work.
